November 2010 The BC Dogwood Lower Mainland Klub has completed the 2010 Fall Chapter Rally combined with the Provincial Rally with its new Provincial Directors Bill & Gerry Kruper.  Congratulations to the Kruper’s for taking on this position.  The rally was held at Eagle Wind RV Park in Aldergrove, Sept. 10th to 13th.  This is a new park in the lower mainland which we are happy to see.  A very pristine park with sites large enough to fit our rigs and during the rain the cosy clubhouse was very welcoming.  We had a total of 13 rigs attending.  We visited “The Gleaners” in Abbotsford where this group collects and dries excess vegetables (and fruit) from local farmers which is made into soup packets and shipped to needy countries all over the world.  What a wonderful idea as we waste so much. We also had a very informative talk about what the 2011 diesel products will entail with the new emission controls, given by First Truck Centre, a Freightliner company from Surrey, BC.  Another speaker was from Oasis Hydronic Heating modules.  It’s nice to know how things work. Traveland once again supplied us with a fabulous steak dinner and brought two new coaches for us to drool over.  We thank them very much for their contributions to the Klub. We have taken on the job as Presidents of the Lower Mainland Klub as Dave & Joanne Killey have moved to the Region 9 Directors position.  We send good wishes to them both and also wish to thank Dave & Gwen Harris for all their hard work over the past years.  Our new Vice Presidents are Willy & Monika Watterodt  #18496, Hank & Gail Dorst  #19206 have taken on the Secretary position and Bob & Evlin Jaggard #17181 remain as Treasurers.  We look forward to a great collaboration.
