June 2010

August 2009
The Alberta Wild Rose Rally was held at Bashaw May 29th – June 1, 2008 with 26 rigs attending from Alberta, Saskatchewan, BC and California. We had a great time and made new good friends.
It was at this Rally we were elected as your Presidents and we are learning the job with the very able help of the past presidents, Lorne and Marlene Pearson. We want to thank you both for your very able encouragement help and support right through today. Also we appreciate Vice Presidents Emil and Dorothy Zayac and Secretary Treasurers John and Colleen Aplin. They organized and attended the Newmar pre - Christmas luncheon held in Lacombe, while we were gone. We are a good team.
With Lorne and Marlene’s help we found and booked the Rally site in Castor.
We were unable to attend the Prairie Dog Rally in Rocky Mountain House due to out of country visitors. We live in our motorhome full time so went to Oliver BC for 3 weeks before heading to Yuma for the winter.
While in Yuma we visited with Lorne and Marlene Pearson who live in the same park and we met with the Pearson’s and Lyle and Marg Dowling for a working lunch. We were delighted to spend time with John and Colleen Aplin during their stay in Yuma and we attended a fun afternoon party at Rose and Everet Larson’s with many Alberta and BC Newmar members.
We have posted one letter on the website.
We pointed the motorhome for Canada on April 1, 2009. April 8th we crossed the border into BC and spent the remainder of April in BC. May 1 we were back to Red Deer, family and friends.
After the Castor Rally we will spend time in Wainwright area and then attend the Saskatchewan Rally in Riverhurst. Our plan is to move around more this summer and eventually take the Motorhome to Nappanee, Indiana to have our floor changed before heading back to Yuma.
Thank you all for your support this past year and we’ll see you down the road.

December 2008
Dear Alberta Wild Rose Klub Members,
Greetings to you all from Yuma, AZ. We are warm and comfortable in our Motor home enjoying friends, the sun and sand. As many of you know, we fulltime so it is nice to settle down with a land phone and address.
We are staying at Rancho Rialto Park for the winter, and the above address will reach us until March 30/09, or our home-address mail is always forwarded. Our Alberta cell phone # (403) 340-9393 is always on or, if you prefer, you can call (928) 305-9384 or email us at leemarlenepixley@hotmail.com
Lee and I want to thank you for your confidence in us as we take over as your Chapter Presidents. With the help of Vice-Presidents, Emil and Dorothy Zayac; Secretary–Treasurers, John and Colleen Aplin, and YOU, we will work to keep our Chapter strong.
International Memberships are now due and can be paid on line or, if you prefer, can be paid by mail with US funds. You can print the form off the website or simply send a cheque marked US funds along with your name(s) Newmar #, mailing address (including any changes) and your current email address to the Kountry Klub in Nappanee. You should already have the Wild Rose renewal form.
The Rally in Castor is going to be fun, a new location, and even better if you come, so set the days aside and send in the registration to John and Colleen. A Rally disclaimer form can be found either on the Region 9 website or the main website of NKK. Instructions on how to print are on the website.
We will be in Yuma for Christmas with friends and possibly some family members. Perhaps some of you will be here too, please get in touch, we’d love to see you.
To all of you, we wish a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Many of us are away from home celebrating the holidays with our adopted families and, yes, we miss our kids and grandchildren. Those who are home, hug those you love just a little tighter.
Most of our communication will be on the website so check it often for information, both International and Local (Region 9) - that will be your best and most current source of information. This letter and Rally information are currently posted - check it out! If you do not use the web or email, or are really uncomfortable with it, please let John and Colleen know. We want to keep everyone informed.
We are here for you,

August 2008
Well the summer is slipping by fast with rallies and other functions to attend. We held our joint Rally with Alberta Provincial May 29 - June 1 at the Bashaw Golf & Country Club. We were fortunate with the great weather. We had 26 rigs attending with a total of 54 people.
Vellners brought out a couple of new units for people to look at. We were aslo pleased to have Doug Drover, our Western Canada representative for Newmar, visit us on the Saturday. We held our Annual meeting on June 1 with the following officers being elected for the new term. Presidents: Lee & Marlene Pixley, Vice Presidents: Emil & Dorothy Zayac, and Secretary - Treasures: Jon & Colleen Aplin. We're pleased to have a new executive elected.
We
also
attended the Saskatchewan Provincial/Saskatchewan Prairie Lily Rally at Riverhurst, Saskatchewan and as usual enjoyed their great hospitality. We are planning on going on the Maritimes Event if at all possible. Then it will be home for a while.
To everyone having a birthday or anniversary our best wishes and anyone suffering from illness our wishes for a speedy recovery.
As you travel down the road of life there are new experiences around the next corner.
