Our Rallies this year were a lot of fun and it sounds like next year is set up.  Check the website for further information on the Alberta Rally to be held in Castor  May 31 – June 2, 2012.   It’s a great location and always an fun and easy Rally to attend.  Our trip to China was awesome, even better than we dared to hope.  If you have a few hours, ask us about it. Lee and Marlene Pixley (15424) Alberta Provincial Directors     November 2010 Well the season for the Alberta Chapters has come to a close, fall is here and winter is around the corner.  Alberta did not seem to have a summer this year. The Alberta Provincial Directors and Alberta Wild Rose Klub had a very successful joint rally at the Castor Golf & Country Club in Castor.  There was a great showing of participants although the weather was less than cooperative.  Yes, we had snow but also it enabled Santa Claus to join us.  A great time was had by all attending; the meals were great and the tour to the glass factory informative.  Many thanks to the hosts. The Alberta Prairie Dogs held their rally in Rosedale in early September.  There were 12 rigs in attendance and again we had cool weather.  Everyone enjoyed wonderful meals, great hospitality and overall friendship.  The mine tours were very interesting.  Thanks to all those organizing this rally.    Both Alberta chapters held their general meetings and elected new officers.  We would like to thank those stepping forward to take offices in their chapters, without you; there would be no chapters to belong to.  THANK YOU. At the end of this year, we will be leaving the Position of Alberta Provincial Directors after four years, the time has flown and we have met so many Newmar owners and now friends.  We would like to extend our thanks for the support received from the Region 9 Directors, the Executives and the Members from both Alberta Chapters – YOU ARE ALL GREAT PEOPLE.  Also, we must not forget the people at the NKK office in Nappanee, they kept us in order.  Keep up the great work.  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.  We wish our successors well and hope they enjoy the Position, it is fun!!   Lyle & Margaret Dowling, 16985L Alberta Provincial Directors

July 2010 We have completed our first Rally for 2010 at Castor, Alberta.  It was a Joint Rally with AB Provincial Directors and the Alberta Wide Rose Klub.  The weather was cold, lots of rain and snow.  A total of 18 rigs attended including Ray & Jean O’Dell from California.  Bucars RV from Calgary was represented by Keith & Heather Crone with a new Baystar Coach.  Thank you to Bucars.  On Saturday it snowed all day but as a surprise for all of us, Santa Claus greeted us for dinner!  It was great and he turned out to be a gentleman from the town of Castor.   We would like to thank Bucars RV, Tee Pee RV & Trade Centre and Midtown RV for their support at this Rally.    We would also like to welcome a new Newmar Dealer for Alberta:  Tee Pee RV & Trade Centre in Camrose.  Stop in an say hello, they have a great parts selection.   Welcome!! The Alberta Prairie Dogs will be having their Rally September 9-12, 2010 in Rosedale at the Sand’s yard.  More information regarding the Rally can be found on the Kountry Klub Website.  Registration date for the rally is August 28th.  Hope to have a big turnout for this Rally.  There is lots to do in the Drumheller Valley. June 2010   Well, here we are again getting ready for our Alberta Newmar Rallies.  The first one we will be attending will be a Joint Rally, Alberta Wild Rose Klub / Alberta Provincial Directors.  This will be held at Castor, Alberta on May 27 to the 29.  It was held there last year and was so successful, we repeated.  We are hoping for good weather and since most of us have been home, it has been very cold, rainy and windy.  The farmers in most of Alberta are very excited to receive the moisture as the land is very dry.  Unfortunately, we are unable to attend the International Newmar Rally in Goshen, Indiana this year.  The Newmar Kountry Klub will be celebrating their 25th Anniversary so the Rally will be special. It will also be the last International Rally for Barney and Barbara Barnett as they are retiring as International Directors.  Thank you both, you have done a great job!!!  If anyone in Alberta will be attending International, please let Dave/Gwen Harris know.  Later in the summer, September 9 to the 13, the Prairie Dogs will be having their Rally in Rosedale, AB.  Details are being finalized now so check the Newmar Kountry Klub website for final prices, schedule, etc. We are spending our summer in Stettler, Alberta so if anyone is travelling in the area, please make sure to stop and say hello at the Stettler Lions Campground.  At this time, we would like to send Best Wishes to those having birthday and anniversaries, and our condolences to those who have suffered a loss and a speedy recovery to those who are ill.  Please contact us as dowling84@gmail.com with any news or call us a 403-512-7342.  We look forward to hearing from our Newmar family. December 2008   The year is just about over and where has the time gone.  A great Rally was hosted by the Alberta Wild Rose Klub with the Provincial Directors at Bashaw in May.  Great turnout with 25 rigs and a fun time was had by all.  In September the Alberta Prairie Dogs hosted 21 rigs at their Rally at Wilderness RV Resort near Rocky Mtn.
