Come and join us in historic Appomattox, Va. in the foothills of the Shenandoah mountains. October leaves can be beautiful!! This is the weekend of the Appomattox Train Festival with good food, local vendors and crafts, and good music.
Our arrival dinner will be Friday evening at 6:30 at the Babcock House bed and breakfast with a special guest speaker – the chief historian of the Appomattox Historical park will give a living history presentation of the events leading up to and during the surrender as seen through the eyes of local town officials during that period.
Saturday will be train festival day, touring historical Appomattox town and surrender field, and other local sights. Dinner will be provided by the hosts (hamburgers, hotdogs, and Barb-B-Que)
Sunday will allow time for a return to the train festival with a tour of the D- Day Memorial in the afternoon. Sunday evening dinner will be family style at the Spring House restaurant.

**Rally fees do not include camping. Please make your reservations ASAP. The campground is holding a block of sites for us– so tell them you are with The Virginia Wheels – Once again – reserve your site ASAP. The site fee is roughly $30/nite for full hookups – 30 amps. There are only a few 50 amp sites at about $3 more/nite. All sites are pull-thru.
