Virginia State Directors' June Message

After a wonderful winter season in Florida with many of our NEWMAR friends we are at home preparing for a very busy summer. We hope everyone celebrated a joyous Easter Holiday with friends and family as we did. The Virginia State Rally is over and we hope those who attended had an enjoyable time!! We want to thank the Bob and Cathy Marks for co-hosting and everyone who helped during the Rally. We had thirteen coaches in attendance.

We want to remind everyone of the remaining VA Wheels Rallies scheduled for 2013: August 5-8 in Bluff City, TN at Lakeview RV Park; and October 8 – 11 in Lynchburg, VA at Thousand Trails RV Park. We encourage everyone to attend these Rallies if at all possible to renew acquaintances, meet new friends, and enjoy fun and fellowship.
Don’t forget the International Rally in DuQuion, IL June 10 – 15. There are plans for a post Rally VA Wheels Caravan to Branson, MO, Memphis, TN, and Nashville, TN June 16-29.

Virginia State Directors' February Message

We hope everyone had a happy healthy holiday season. We look forward to returning to Florida for the remainder of the winter season and rejoining all our Newmar friends there. Since we ski the first week of January we missed the Tampa Super Show, but hope everyone in attendance had a “Super” time.

Plan to attend those “all you can eat” Golden Corral luncheons, learning what’s new from Newmar, renewing old acquaintances, and getting answers to questions you may have about your coach.

May will start the 2013 Rally season for the Virginia Wheels with a Bring a Buddy State Rally being scheduled for May 20th – 24th at the American Heritage RV Park in Williamsburg, VA. Make your reservations directly to the park and send your disclaimer and fee to John Warhol, 114 Poplar Point Road, Yorktown, VA 23692-4307. See the ad with details for this event elsewhere in this issue. Also additional VA Wheels upcoming rallies are noted the VA Wheels article.

Virginia Wheels Chapter President's June Message

Rally season is in full swing and Virginia Wheels 1st rally was a big success with great participation. Thanks to John and Betty Warhol for hosting our state rally in Williamsburg. This is a great area to have a rally with so much to see and do. Now it’s on to the Newmar International Rally in DuQuoin, Illinois. We hope to see many of our Virginia Wheels family. We are expecting a great rally with good weather.

Our summer rally hosts Tommy & Maggie Manning and Charlie & Deane Grebinger are planning a spectacular rally in Bluff City, TN at Lakeview RV Park. Rally dates are August 5th-8th. The fall rally will be hosted by Danny & Jeanette Templeton and Jack & Jeanette Jones. This rally will be at the Lynchburg Thousand Trails. Rally dates are October 8th-11th. These two rallies are in the planning stages and as information comes in we will make it available to you. We look forward to seeing all of the Newmar family at these rallies.

There is lots of excitement going around as news of Newmar’s success with orders for the 2014 line of coaches. We were recently at Newmar service and the sold lot had more coaches to be delivered to dealers than we have seen in a long time. We were told by Newmar that they recently had a dealers show in Texas where they sold over 200 coaches. This is great news to hear with the fuel prices high and the economy still moving at a slow pace. Maybe things are looking great for the future.

Virginia Wheels Chapter President's February Message

2013 is now here, the holidays are a distant memory. We are sure everyone is looking forward to warm weather and traveling in our motor-homes to our VA Wheels rallies. Some of us will be getting together in Florida to bring in the New Year. There will luncheons held in Florida during January and February. As the details are available we will email them to everyone. Bob & I will be in Nappanee taking delivery of our new coach the first week of January. Yes, we are sure there will be snow. Can you believe we left Florida to travel in our motor-home in the snow?

Our rally hosts have done a great job in 2012. Our 2013 rally schedule is final and details will be coming in the near future. We have our state rally May 20th-24th in Williamsburg, VA at American Heritage RV Park. The summer rally will be held August 5th-8th in Bluff City, TN at Lakeview RV Park. Our rally hosts for this rally are Tommy & Maggie Manning and Charlie & Deane Grebinger. Then our fall rally will be October 8th-11th in Lynchburg, VA at Lynchburg TTN. Our host will be Danny & Jeanette Templeton and Jack & Jeanette Jones.

We are excited about our rally schedule this year. We would like to thank everyone who held a rally in 2012 and thanks to the couples who have volunteered to host a rally in 2013.
