June Message from theTarheels Chapter

The Tarheels first rally is still in the early stages of development with no new news to communicate. This rally will be held July 18 – 21 in Galax, VA at the Cool Breeze Campground (formerly called Deer Creek Campground). The annual BBQ festival will be held that week-end as well. This will be a different rally in that it will be for the most part a non-hosted rally with no rally fees other than your campground site. The idea is to get back to basics similar to years ago where the emphasis is on fun and fellowship and not on food and structure. The adjoining state chapters, SC and VA, will be invited. Your suggestions for things to do are needed and appreciated. We look forward to your ideas and suggestions.

February Message from theTarheels Chapter

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL! May the RV 'Blue Bird of Happiness' fly over your rv as you travel and rally in 2013.

Boy, does time fly and now we would all like to start the year enjoying the Tampa Show with Region V Directors/Hosts Bonnie & Bob Krieger in January.

The Tarheels ended the year with a great rally at Ocean Lakes Campground, Myrtle Beach, hosted by Billie & BL Coleman and Suzanne & Gene Failmezger. The food and fellowship were excellent. The perky Elf presented a colorful addition to the Dirty Santa gift exchange. We all missed Sheryn & Denny Ward who led our chapter the last four years. We look forward to seeing them at the rallies this year. Thanks again for a great job done as President and Secretary.

Look forward to meeting our newest members that joined during the Christmas at the Beach rally, Katrina & Tom Smith of Knoxville, TN.

Rallies for the spring and fall have been hosted. Details will follow in the next issue.
