Here is information about the upcoming ND & SD State and Rushmore Roamers Chapter Rally:

South Dakota Rushmore Roamers Rally, August 13 – 16, 2012

Mark your calendar for a Rally in Pierre, SD. Check in day Monday, August 13: noon to 5 pm. Potluck evening meal at 5:30 pm. Bring your own place setting and beverage (coffee will be provided). After the meal there will be an information session with meeting to follow.

Tuesday, August 14 daytime activities and evening activity

Wednesday, August 15 daytime activities,

Thursday, August 16 coffee and donuts, and saying the good buys until next time.

Location: Oahe Downstream Recreation Area, Campground 3,

20439 Marina Loop Rd, Ft. Pierre, SD 57532

The Campground has electricity 20, 30, 50 amp service at site; water and sewer are available in the park (not at the site).

Cost is $18.00 per night for camp site (plus*).

*Plus State Park fee:

Option 1: State Park fee per day $6.00 per vehicle.

Option 2: State Park fee annual $28.00, if you purchase this for your car, it will get you a pass for the motor home, and you must tow the car into the park to qualify for this option. (Some of you may already have the South Dakota State Park sticker).

It will be your responsibility to register for your campsite. On line www:campsd.com or call 1-800-710-2267 for reservation. Tell them you will be with the Newmar Kountry Klub group with Del Nordstrom. The earliest you can register is 90 days prior to August 3, 2012.

Registration includes:

Oahe Dam tour,              South Dakota Cultural Heritage Center,              South Dakota Discovery Center,

State Capitol tour,              Oahe Dam Visitor Center and Oahe Chapel,              Verendrye Museum,

A special tour of the Flaming Fountain: provided by Del Nordstrom.              Coffee and donuts on Thursday a.m. and two evening catered meals.

Camping fees not included (make your own camping reservations)
