By the time you read this in the Konnection, these "Snowbirds" will be in Arizona.  Where has this summer gone?

We had a joint Montana State and Big Sky Kountry Klub Rally in Lewistown in September during their annual Chokecherry Festival.  We toured Mountain Meadow Manufacturing and the State Fish Hatchery.  Both were very interesting and informative.  At our business meeting, we discussed ways to bring our membership numbers up.   Daisy Groves was elected to replace Pat Godward as secretary.  All other officers were retained. Mark it on your calendar to attend the Montana State/Big Sky Chapter joint rally in 2010.  It will be in Polson, Montana, July 15 – 18th during the annual cherry festival.  If you’ve never eaten Flathead cherries, you’re in for a treat.  Also during this weekend are the boat races on the beautiful Flathead Lake. See you there!

“Safe Travels;” Hope to see some of you in Arizona this winter.

April 2009

There isn't much activity to report on during the winter months in our state.   Several of our members are "snow birds' in Arizona, yours truly included.

We are having a joint State-Chapter rally in Lewistown September 10-14.  This is during the chokecherry festival and should be a fun time.  For more information, call us at 406.670.2850, zweavers@yahoo.com, or Gary and Daisy Groves at 406.250.4794, daisyisle@aol.com

We held our Big Sky Kountry Klub State Rally in Fort Benton, Montana, September 18-21, 2008.  This is a beautiful setting and the weather was perfect.  There were only 8 rigs, but we were very fortunate to have our Region 2 Directors, Mike and Carol Lowery, join us.  Also, Russ and Linda Whitcomb,  new members, were there attending their first-ever rally.  They have a brand net Dutch Star.

Our tour of the old Fort Benton Fort was great.  Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and so interesting.  Maybe if I would have had a history teacher like him in school, I would have liked history.  There are five museums in Fort Benton, so there was no lack of things to do in the town.  Many people had never been there so had fun seeing new sights.

Keep smiling.  Remember ... It takes less muscles to smile than to frown.
