Register for the 2009 International Rally on or before Friday, June 12, 2009, and your Klub number will be entered into the “KLUB’S RALLY FEE REFUND DRAWING”. During Opening Ceremonies we will draw 5 Klub Member numbers. If you are one of the 5 lucky Klub numbers drawn, your rally fee will be refunded to you after the rally. Please Note: Rally Refund Fee is based on one/two people in a unit.

  1. Pre-Rally Sightseeing Tours, Early Bird Parking and Golf Tournament must be booked and paid for at the same time as the International Rally Reservation.
  2. All Klub members attending the International Rally must be in a Newmar Recreational Vehicle.

International Rally Cancellation Policy
Cancellations due to emergencies will be accepted up to Friday, July 31, 2008. Requests must be submitted in writing either by mail, e-mail to kountryklub@newmarcorp.com or by fax (574) 773-5130. A refund will be made, less $25.00 per person cancellation fee. Any tour or optional activities cancelled after July 1, 2008 will not be refunded unless a replacement can be found.  Cancellations received as of July 31, 2008 will receive no refund.  Please Note: Many non-refundable financial commitments and deposits are made well in advance of the rally. These commitments make a cancellation policy a necessity.

2009 Optional Sightseeing Tours
 

The Newmar Kountry Klub has engaged the Elkhart County Convention and Visitors Bureau to arrange this year’s sightseeing tour program. They know the history and local culture of Goshen and the surrounding area, and have arranged tours for many groups over a period of several years. We have put together several tours for you to choose from. Each tour will have an escort to ensure you have the most knowledgeable guide available. All tours must be booked and paid for at the same time as you register for the International Rally (with exception of Tour 1 which will be purchased at the rally). Again this year, the tours are limited by passenger bus availability, and will be booked on a first come basis.

  1. Buses DO NOT have handicap lift.
  2. THESE TOURS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE after July 1, 2009.

 

Tour # 1 Amish Acres Arts and Crafts Festival
Saturday, August 1 or Sunday, August 2.
You choose the date! 350 artists and crafters from around the country surround Amish Acres pond to apply their trade and sell their wares. Live entertainment on 3 stages throughout the day includes country bands, magicians and square dancing. Sample the wide variety of festival foods featuring everything from apple pie to zucchini bread. This festival has earned the honor of being one of the top 200 festivals in the nation and the 8th Top Traditional Crafts Show by Sunshine Artist Magazine. Provide your own transportation to Nappanee to enjoy this festival and do some early Christmas shopping. There is plenty of parking at the festival, but make the day even more entertaining by carpooling with friends. Tickets will be sold at the Information Center for $5.00 per person.


 

Tour # 2 From Studebakers to Chocolate
Departure: Sunday, August 2 at 8:45am.
Enjoy a lavish Sunday brunch at Tippecanoe Place Restaurant, the Studebaker mansion, featuring an omelet and waffle buffet plus all the trimmings. Visit the Studebaker Museum campus featuring the Studebaker National Museum with over 70 timeless vehicles and one-of-a kind classics before enjoying the breath-taking beauty of Copshaholm, the Oliver Mansion and the Northern Indiana Center for History. Then get in the game at the College Football Hall of Fame or enjoy tasty treats at the South Bend Chocolate Company Café. Tour Price $68.00 per person includes transportation by Cardinal Motorcoach, all admission fees, Sunday Brunch, and all tips for meals, driver, and guides. Return to Goshen Fairgrounds about 4:30pm.


 

Tour # 3 Shopping and Gaming Tour
Departure, Monday, August 3 at 8:00am.
Spend your morning at the Blue Chip Casino in Michigan City, Indiana. A full buffet lunch is included
at your leisure at the on-site restaurant. Be ready to depart the Blue Chip Casino by 1:45pm and go to the Lighthouse Place Prime Outlet Mall where you can enjoy park-like shopping with wide courtyards and quaint gazebo. Shop at over 120 outlets from the world’s leading designers and brand names, all offering savings of 25%-60% every day. Discount coupon books may be available upon arrival. Numerous snack venues and seating are available throughout the facility. Tour price $34.00 per person includes transportation by Cardinal Motorcoach, buffet lunch, all tips for meals, driver, and escort. Return to Goshen Fairgrounds about 5:15pm. FOR THIS TOUR, ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OF AGE AND MUST HAVE A PHOTO ID WITH THEM.


 

Tour # 4 Land of Lakes Tour
Departure, Monday, August 3 at 8:15am.
Tour one of the largest orthopedic implement manufacturers in the nation at Biomet, and see how orthopedic implements such as knees and hips are custom made from raw materials. Then it’s on to the Boathouse Restaurant for lunch. Enjoy an excellent dining experience in a casual waterfront setting featuring options and choices. After lunch, enjoy the scenic Winona Lake area while visiting the shops of the Artisan Court, where you can interact with potters, sculptors, artists and specialty shop keepers. Finally, end your day at the Amish shop, Rentown. Here you can find bulk cheese and other items you will not see elsewhere. Tour price $39.00 per person includes transportation by Cardinal Motorcoach, lunch, all tips for meals, driver, and escort, and tax. Return to Goshen Fairgrounds about 4:15pm.


 

Tour # 5 Foodies Delight Tour in Amish Country
Departure, Monday, August 3 at 8:30am.
Sit back, relax, and observe the Amish lifestyle as you travel picturesque back roads of Northern Indiana. Step back in time and learn of the fascinating lifestyle of these “plain people”. With a knowledgeable guide hear about the area and history, traditions, and customs of the Amish. You’ll stop at an Amish cheese shop and noodle shop where each person receives a gift. Enjoy a delicious box lunch served in the Linton’s Enchanted Gardens Conservatory. Following lunch enjoy a free seminar entitled: Interior Accessorizing – Learn how to take your home from ordinary to extraordinary with ideas from their design staff. As time allows, explore the many themed garden in this new, large garden center including the Japanese Tea House, Southwestern Garden with Mine Shaft, Dutch Gardens and Grist Mill. Plus, shop the 25,000 square foot gift emporium or visit the Quilt Garden at Lintons.
Tour Price $42.00 per person includes transportation by Cardinal Motorcoach, lunch, all
tips and tax. Return to Goshen Fairgrounds about 3:00pm.


 

Tour # 6 American Countryside Farmers Market Dinner and Theater
Wednesday, August 5 Dinner Begins at 5:30pm
“Pump Boys & Dinettes” Musical Theater show begins after dinner. A Rock ‘n Roll and Country & Blues Musical Revue is the sort of show that feeds off the energy and pleasure of its audience, celebrating life and love in a small southern town. Half of the clever setting is a country diner out on Highway 57, somewhere between Frog Level and Smyrna, and the other half is a gas station, meant to be located on the other side of the highway. Its characters are 4 young guys who pump gas, and 2 young gals, the Cupp sisters, waitress/proprietors of the Double Cupp Diner across the highway. These are six talented and cheerful people out to have a good time. Dessert is served during intermission. Drive on your own, directions provided. Tour Tickets $40.00 per person include dinner, theater, tips and tax. Show ends about 9:00pm.


 

Tour # 7 In-Home Amish Meal
Wednesday, August 5
Welcome to area Amish homes where hosts will serve mouthwatering home cooked food. The meal features all of the taste tempting treats you expect from Amish Country including baked chicken, tender beef roast, mashed potatoes, homemade bread, homemade pies, and beverages. You’ll drive your own vehicle, directions provided, to a family farm where generous hospitality is served around large tables. Two homes have been reserved for this evening. Tour price $17.50 per person includes dinner, tax, and tip.


 

Tour # 8 In-Home Amish Meal
Thursday, August 6
Welcome to area Amish homes where hosts will serve mouthwatering home cooked food. Note:
  1. All Member Vendors will be parked with general membership, UNLESS you are working out of your unit or specifically request to park with vendors.
  2. Addition booth fees may apply if space allocation is exceeded.
  3. Each Vendor Exhibitor must carry their own Property & Liability Insurance and furnish proof of insurance to the Newmar Kountry Klub.
  4. To qualify for Member Vendor fees you must participate in the International Rally as a Klub member and be in your Newmar recreational vehicle.
