During Opening Ceremonies we will draw 5 Klub Member numbers. If you are one of the 5 lucky Klub numbers drawn, your rally fee will be refunded to you after the rally. Cancellations due to emergencies will be accepted up to Friday, July 31, 2010. Requests must be submitted in writing either by mail, e-mail to kountryklub@newmarcorp.com or by fax (574) 773-5130. A refund will be made, less $25.00 per person cancellation fee. Any tour or optional activities cancelled after July 1, 2010 will not be refunded unless a replacement can be found. Cancellations received as of July 31, 2010 will receive no refund. Please Note: Many non-refundable financial commitments and deposits are made well in advance of the rally. These commitments make a cancellation policy a necessity. |

The Newmar Kountry Klub has engaged the Elkhart County Convention and Visitors Bureau to arrange this year’s sightseeing tour program. They know the history and local culture of Goshen and the surrounding area, and have arranged tours for many groups over a period of several years. We have put together several tours for you to choose from. Each tour will have an escort to ensure you have the most knowledgeable guide available. All tours must be booked and paid for at the same time as you register for the International Rally. Again this year, the tours are limited by passenger bus availability, and will be booked on a first come basis. |

Tour # 1 From Studebakers to Chocolate
Departure: Sunday, August 15 at 9:00am
Enjoy a lavish Sunday Brunch at Tippecanoe Place Restaurant, the Studebaker mansion, featuring an omelet and waffle buffet plus all the trimmings. Take a walking guided tour of the University of Notre Dame. Visit the Studebaker Museum campus featuring the Studebaker National Museum with over 70 timeless vehicles and one-of-a-kind classics before enjoying the breath-taking beauty of Copshaholm, the Oliver Mansion, and the Northern Indiana Center for History. Stop for a sweet treat at the South Bend Chocolate Café which offers gourmet coffees, hot chocolates, ice cream, pastries and sweet treats combined with handmade assorted chocolates, gourmet truffles, premium creams and old-fashioned fudge. Tour # 2 A Stich In Time Quilt Shop Hop Tour
Departure: Monday, August 16 at 8:30am
This tour is designed for the quilter and sewer. Visit Goshen College and see antique and contemporary quilts by Mennonite and Amish makers, using both geometric and naturalistic flower motifs. The exhibit is a tribute to the traditional design known as “Grandmother’s Flower Garden” that has become one of the most popular patterns in the history of American quilt-making. Enjoy a light sandwich lunch on your own (gift certificate included) while shopping at Lolly’s Fabrics at the Davis Mercantile in Shipshewana. Lolly’s features over 2,500 bolts of fabric, quilting kits, notions, supplies, and more. Next, visit Meadow Brook Farm and Quilt Story Teller and tour one of the first farm homes in Elkhart County including the original home, barn, granary, and smokehouse. Learn colorful history direct from the owners of their personal heritage, while touring this immaculate property. Enjoy the “agri-quilt”, participate in quilting yourself on the community donation quilt, and enjoy numerous themed décor rooms, sites, and scenery. Complete your visit with the enchanting Quilt Storyteller who brings quilt heritage to life by weaving her tales. Finally, stop at the Elkhart County Historical Society – one of the top ten local history museums in Indiana. The “Stitches of Devotion”, behind the scenes program will have every quilt lover jumping at the chance to examine rare quilts not seen by the public. Imagine the thrill of looking over an 1893 one-of-a-kind quilt made entirely of silk cigar labels. And that is just one of a number of incredible gems. Tour # 3 Ft. Wayne Geneolgy Research
Departure: Monday, August 16 at 8:15am
Arrive at the Allen County Public Library in Fort Wayne and begin with a 45 minute guided tour of their collection of genealogical records and sources. This renowned collection includes more than 350,000 printed volumes and 513,000 items of microfilm and microfiche. They also have access to major online databases. As a cooperating partner with the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, the department can provide access to more than 2.4 million rolls of microfilmed genealogical and historical records for a small handling fee per roll of film requested. Professional genealogists will be available to answer your questions and to provide assistance if needed. Tour price $33.00 per person includes transportation by Cardinal Motorcoach and driver tip. Lunch is on your own. There is a Dunkin Donuts in the building that offers sandwiches, beverages, etc. Or, your bus can be used for a shuttle to nearby fast food restaurants (within 2 blocks). If this is your preference, please advise your driver of timing and interest in this option. Return to Fairgrounds about 5:00pm.

Tour # 4 Dinner At An Amish Homestead Plus Amish Acres “Plain & Fancy” Broadway Musical In The Round Barn Theater
Tuesday, August 17 at 6:15pm
Arrive at The Mullet’s in Nappanee for an Amish dinner before going to Amish Acres to view the Broadway Musical “Plain & Fancy”. This is the story of Amish life and love brought to life in a classic comedy performed for over 20 years at the Amish Acres theater stage. Depart for Amish Acres about 7:30pm and arrive at the Round Barn Theater at 7:40pm. The show begins promptly at 8:00pm. Provide your own transportation, or make the evening more enjoyable and carpool with friends. Directions will be available.

Tour # 5 Extraordinary Fair Oaks Dairy Farm Tour
Departure: Thursday, August 19 at 8:45am
On your way to the Fair Oaks Dairy Farm, stop for a tour of the Albaneese Confectionary Group in Merrillville, IN, the only company that offers a public tour of their Gummies manufacturing in the USA. Learn how Gummies are made and also observe the making of Gold Label Chocolates. Enjoy samples of the gummies and chocolates. Fair Oaks Dairy Farm is a family farm, grown to the scale of a large enterprise. Following a lunch buffet, take a bus tour of one of the largest dairy farms in the US with 30,000 cows, 20,000 acres, and 2500 calves. Tour # 6 Mrs. Farmwald’s Neighborhood Tour
Departure: Thursday, August 19, 8:45am
Begin your tour at the Nappanee Heritage Center featuring a collection of historical items, antiques, and profiles of the city’s native sons and daughters - from world-famous cartoonists to an Air Force One Pilot. Enjoy the collection of award winning art from the Amish Acres Arts &Crafts Festival and a rare collection of antique “Hoosier” cabinets – these “Dutch Kitchens” made Nappanee famous. Then, step-on guide Esther Farmwald takes you on excursions along back roads surrounding Nappanee. Stop at an Amish farm, chat with the family and witness traditional Amish farm life first-hand. Stop at an Amish version of a supermarket and shop alongside Amish women in a rural general store where you will see things found only in Amish Country. A visit to a one-room Amish school house will take you back in time. During your tour enjoy lunch at Mullet’s Dining on an Amish Homestead.

You’ll drive your own vehicle, directions provided, to a family farm where generous hospitality is served around large tables. Two different homes have been reserved for the evening. - To qualify for Member Vendor fees you must participate in the International Rally as a Klub member and be in your Newmar recreational vehicle.
